mousesports are through to the Upper Bracket final of Group B at DreamHack Open Leipzig after easing past Virtus.pro 16-5 on de_dust2.
Group B at DreamHack Open Leipzig began with a match between Virtus.pro, playing their first official match in over a month, and mousesports, who are attending their first event with the new lineup, featuring Timo "Spiidi" Richter instead of Fatih "gob b" Dayik.
mousesports got off to a great start and won the pistol round and the following anti-ecos to start off the game with a 3-0 lead. Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski then went huge and single-handedly won the round for his team with a quad kill during a mid-B split.
chrisJ powered mousesports to a convincing victory
Virtus.pro followed it up by winning the next two rounds to tie up the game 3-3, but mousesports regained control of the match and went on a five-round streak. With no money to work with, the Polish team managed to win a force buy, but their hopes of building a solid economy were crushed in the following round by a force buy from mousesports.
With a 10-5 lead at the break and the support of the crowd, mousesports picked up where they left off and won six rounds straight on the Terrorist side to pick up a convincing victory and move on to the next group round in Leipzig.
