NRG talent Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov has earned the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of IEM Shanghai by HLTV.org and betway.
The Bulgarian hot-shot won the race of the award after inspiring NRG to win the title at the Chinese event with a team-leading 1.34 average rating - the highest overall.
CeRq, who had just one below-average rating in Shanghai, played his best games in the playoffs, especially in the final against TYLOO - a match he finished with a 1.87 rating/+35 KDD.
Besides leading in rating, the 18-year-old had the highest KDD (+58), damage difference per round (+22.8) and kills per round (0.83) of all players. He was also rated second in support rounds (24.7%), third in AWP kills per round (0.45) and fourth in opening duel success rate (64.5%).
This is the very first MVP award that goes to CeRq, who has been on NRG's books since August 2017.
Note: The MVP was decided at this point due to holidays.
